As our appreciation of your support, we will hand out a souvenir for orders placed with immediate effect. The following are the conditions:

1. Purchase must be or no less than HK$3,000 or no less than 6 bottles (in such case can be under HK$3,000)

2. We are making available 12 such items and the offer will stop when all 12 are given out.

3. It will be our absolute discretion in terms of what souvenir to accompany which order.

4. The souvenir items include pottery, ceramic zodiac figurines, branded utensils, wine accessories, wine books etc., all in perfect condition and most coming with a box (please see pictures above)

To be completely transparent, these items are gifts yours truly received over a period of time. All are unused, beautifully made and like new. As they have been sitting in the cupboard for some years now, a new home may just give them a new lease of life.   

Let’s now go to wines and here are a few of our recent additions:

2012 Louis Roederer Cristal (WA97+ HK$1,800/bottle) – By one the most well-known Champagne house, the 2012 Cristal is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in 60/40 proportions. Aromas of clear honey, crisp green orchard fruit, white peach, pastry cream and dried white flowers introduce this full-bodied, concentrated and powerful wine. The palate is incisive and a little chalky. It is excellent now but will continue to develop in the cellar. 

2020 Domaine Marc Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Vide Bourse (VN96 at HK$1,000/bottle) – This Burgundy white has a powerful mineral and chalky bouquet and you can really lose yourself in its wonderful aromatics. The palate is beautifully balanced with good acidity. Poised, tensile and surfeited with energy, this is one of the best offered by the appellation. Superb stuff!!!

2019 Domaine Guffens-Heynen Macon Pierreclos Premier Jus de Chavigne (WA95 at HK$1,200/bottle) – Another excellent Burgundy white, wafting from the glass with aromas of orange oil, citrus zest, warm toast and pear. Medium to full-bodied, immensely concentrated and complete, it's seamless and penetrating, underpinned by a tangy spine of acidity and concluding with a long, saline finish

2016 Ormes de Pez (VN96 at HK$350/bottle) – The 2016 vintage form this somewhat humble estate was a pleasant surprise of the famous wine critic Neal Martin in a blind tasting. The wine has a well defined and complex bouquet of black fruits, melted tar and hints of tobacco emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied, gentile but with an insistent grip, ending with a pepperish and very persistent finish.

2018 La Dome (WA97 at HK$720/bottle) – Le Dome is from the JCP Maltus portfolio of skillfully crafted Saint-Émilion wines. The 2018 vintage is composed of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot as it slips sensuously from the glass with beguiling scents of blackberry pie, kirsch, blueberry preserves and plum pudding, plus suggestions of menthol, rose oil, pencil shavings and fragrant earth. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers fantastic energy and freshness, featuring loads of perfumed red and black fruit  in its firm and finely grained texture, finishing on a lingering mineral note. Stylistically, this could be the most elegant vintages of Le Dome ever.

2018 Les Carmes Haut-Brion (WA96+ at HK$1,000/bottle) – This Bordeaux red needs a little coaxing before bursting from the glass with vibrant scents of blackberry preserves, red currant jelly, mulberries and Black Forest cake, leading to an undercurrent of pencil lead, black truffles, cast-iron pan and charcoal with an emerging waft of violets. The elegantly crafted, medium-bodied palate dances with red and black fruits before bursting into earth and mineral sparks. It has a sturdy frame of firm, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing long and savory. Drinkable now, you can continue to enjoy its slow evolution for a further 25 years.  

2018 Domaine des Roches Neuves Clos de l'Echelier (VN96 at HK$300/bottle) – From the Loire region of France, this red is out of more than 40-year old vines and has more of the muscular style. The nose is full of mineral aromas, asphalt, stone, smoke and a lovely note of roses. Expansive on the palate, featuring loads of black fruit and a slightly pepperish under tone, it ends with an intense finish. Incredible wine that walks that thrilling line of rusticity and elegance which is not always easy with Cabernet Franc.    

2020 Casa Castillo El Molar (WA95 at HK$260/bottle) – From Spain and out of the Garnacha (Grenache in Spanish) grape varietal, the wine is tender and feels more delicate despite the 15% alcohol. It is super aromatic, extroverted and expressive, floral, elegant and complex. There is great balance, freshness and a core of minerality and super fine tannins resulting in a wine with precision, elegance and balance. At this price, it feels like a steal.

2020 Le Macchiole Messorio (WA96 at HK$1,350/bottle) – The flagship red of this reputable Italian producer is 100% Merlot and a profound and richly textured wine. There are ample ripe fruit, dark cherry, oak spice and toast converge with balanced intensity to characterize this generous expression from Tuscany. The quality and its price position would genuinely give the so called Super Tuscans such as Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Solaia a real run for their money. Strongly recommended.
